Sarita Vihar is an upmarket residential colony of South Delhi. It has only one main entrance into the colony, that is from Mathura Road, at the traffic light of Sarita Vihar Metro Station. The only landmark for first time visitors to find the entrance is turn left at the traffic light and at the Garbage Dalao turn into the white gate. Is this how we welcome visitors into the colony? The dalao is always stinking and garbage spills onto the road. Cows and dogs eat the garbage, adding to the mess. Cars can barely cross this point to enter the colony because the garbage has spread across half the road. Why does the MCD not shift the dalao to a recess nearby? Why have unauthorised construction of shops, flats and bike repairs shops been allowed to build on the main road, reducing the width of the road further?
