Dear Sir/Madam, Greetings of the day! I have purchased a mobile from Nu Mobile World in Dum Dum, Kolkata on 3rd September 2013. At the time of purchase, I was offered 12 months EMI facility with zero per cent interest by the shop keeper. So he swiped my HSBC Platinum Advance card no. 4617218890096915 for an amount of Rs. 10, 812/- and calculated the EMI to be Rs. 901 for 12 months. But I was surprised to see that on 6th September an IEMI processing fee of Rs. 1027.14/- and 12.36% Service Tax assessment of Rs. 126.95/- was charged to my card. I was not told anything about this at the time of purchase. Once I received the credit card statement, I informed the merchant as well as my home bank HSBC about the same. HSBC said that this was charged by the merchant bank. But the shop keeper insisted that I speak to my home bank about the same as this was not charged by him. After repeatedly requesting HSBC and the shop keeper to sort this issue out, nothing has been done till now. I should not be charged any amount, which I was not informed of at the time of purchase. I would request all of you to take appropriate actions and waive off the processing fee. I have to make payment to HSBC about the remaining bill amount by 15th Oct 2013, which I do not have any problem with. But I will not make any payment for the processing fees charged unreasonably. So kindly help me out in this matter and waive off the processing fee immediately. Thanking you, — Santanu Ghosh M: +91 9874083448
