We have set up a Relief Fund, to which generous contributions from readers are invited. The amount thus received will be made over to the Kerala Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF).
Contributions may be made in rupees by crossed cheque or demand draft (payable in Chennai) drawn in favour of ‘The Hindu Relief Fund’. A covering letter should mention the name and postal address of the donor, with PAN (if available). A receipt will be issued. The envelope may be sent to: ‘The Hindu Relief Fund’, Kasturi Buildings, 859-860 Anna Salai, Chennai 600002.
Bank transfers, in rupees, may be made in favour of ‘The Hindu Relief Fund’, to Central Bank of India, Anna Salai branch, Chennai (826 Tarapore Towers, Anna Salai). IFSC: CBIN0280879. Current Account No. 3453685237. Those making bank transfers may send an email with the donor’s name and postal address with PAN (if available), along with the UTR number to helpkerala@thehindu.co.in A receipt will come by email.
Donations are eligible for exemption under Section 80-G of The Income Tax Act vide order: DIT (E) No: 2 (398)/ 2000-01, dated December 7, 2015.
Contributions of ₹2,500 and above will be published on the website of The Hindu.
